Euro 2016 Qualification – 11 October 2015

singleball-green-bgrnd-150x150Three groups complete their qualification matches today – D, F and I.

In group D there re three potential qualifiers, with the the third placed assured of a place in the playoffs.

Ireland beat Germany against all the odds and are now looking at a must win match against Poland if they are to become one of the two automatic qualifiers from this group. It’s a big ask but at 27/10 the odds are probably in line with their chances.

There’s nothing else in the group that appeals to us.

In group F with Northern Ireland through it leaves Romania and Hungary chasing the second automatic spot with and both assured 2015-10-11of the playoffs at the very least.

If Romania win the
y are through, whatever happens in the Greece v. Hungary match.  Anything but a win for Romania, if Hungary beat Greece they y-taken the automatic spot.
Romania at 3/10 don’t appeal at all. Hungary, in a must win situation, against an inferior Greek side stand out at odds of 11/5.

Finally in group I, Portugal are through. The result of their away fixture against Serbia is of little or no consequence to either. Yes, Portugal should win easily, but we’r not getting involved.2015-10-11-2

With Denmark having completed their fixtures on 12 points, Albania’s away date with Armenia takes on massive significance. Already assured of a playoff place a win for Albania would see them leapfrog Denmark to nick the automatic spot. There’s absolutely nothing but pride at stake for Armenia. Albania have nothing to lose by throwing the kitchen sink at it,  and the odds of 11/10 are attractive.

The £10 treble on the Betfair Sportsbook returns 24.86 – that’s 23.86/1. A double on Hungary and Albania returns 5.72/1.

Good luck to you all…
