Best Bet Soccer Winning Streak Continues

Monday, March 1st, 2010

bbslogo2cmBest Bet Soccer continues its winning streak into 2010 with net winning months in both January and February.

January’s selections produced a profit of £82.34 being 11.76% on total stakes of £700.

The February profit was £182.41 for a huge 45.60% on turnover of £400, bringing the average return for the year to date up to £264.75, a very respectable 24.07% on turnover of £1,100.

In all of the major European leagues there is much to play for at both top and bottom of the tables in the run in to the end of the season and we’re looking forward to some juicy soccer bets in the next few weeks.

Best Bet Soccer Selections — European Cup Fixtures — 9 December 2009

Monday, December 7th, 2009

bbslogo2cm

We’ve now have the opportunity to review the fixtures for the European Cup matches on Wednesday evening.

We start with group G in which Seville host Rangers. Seville have already qualified but need to win to ensure top spot. The match means nothing to Rangers — they don’t even have a sniff of Europa cup qualification as an incentive! Seville are very short priced and although we anticipate that they will win we leave them out of our selections. Unirea Urziceni are away to VfB Stuttgart. With Unirea on 8 points and Stuttgart on 6 this one could be a “battle to the death”. We anticipate that Stuttgart will have too much for Unirea and win to take the second qualifying place in the group, consigning Unirea to the Europa cup. We put them (Stuttgart) in our bet.

In group F Dynamo Kiev take on Barcelona. A point for Barcelona will guarantee qualification. All three points mean they would top the group. As far as Dynamo Kiev is concerned, a win could see them qualify, or achieve a Europa cup place, depending upon the result in the match between Inter Milan and Rubin Kazan. Inter and Rubin are tied on six points each. A draw may not be sufficient for either of them so both sides need to go for the win. We strongly support Inter to overcome Rubin and have no hesitation putting them in our bet. We’ll be leaving out the  Barcelona/Dynamo Kiev fixture.

We then come to what we consider to be the most difficult fixture. Although Liverpool cannot qualify we anticipate that they will put up a solid at home to Fiorentina. We cannot call this one and leave them out. In the same group Lyon are at home to Debrecen. We can see absolutely no way that Lyon will lose this one. However, we anticipate that the odds will be very tight indeed. We will keep our eye on this but will probably leave them out as representing poor value.

This leaves us with group H where Olympiacos host Arsenal and Standard Liege are at home to AZ Alkmaar. Arsenal have qualified and are certain to take top spot in this group. Olympiacos require a draw to ensure second place on points. There’s no doubt that they will be playing for the win but may find Arsenal just too good. We have to leave them out. Standard Liege have a remote chance of qualification if they win and take a place in the last 32 of the Europa league if they draw. We are of the view that they will go for the win and put them in our bet.

We therefore have three selections for Wednesday’s round of matches — Stuttgart, Inter Milan and Standard Liège. We’ll be backing them in a trixie and look forward to raking in the cash! we aticipate that a £25 trixie will return around about £330 giving a profit of £230 for our £100 outlay.

Preview of Champions League Matches for 8 December 2009

Monday, December 7th, 2009

bbslogo2cm

Welcome to the Best Bet Soccer preview of the European Champions League matches for 8 December 2009.

We’ve previously mentioned that we consider this round of matches just too difficult. There are several games where the result will have a direct impact on whether or not either or both teams go through. There are other matches where there is virtually nothing riding on the outcome. There are one or two which were simply too difficult to call.

Wolfsburg are at home to Manchester United. Manchester United are virtually certain of qualification. With their injury problems we believe they may have difficulty overcoming Wolfsburg. Wolfsburg need the win to be themselves almost certain of qualification. The result in the match between CSKA Moscow and Besiktas is a very difficult one to call but we can see a situation where CSKA absolutely overwhelm Besiktas and could steal the second spot if Wolfsburg don’t convincingly beat Manchester United. We’ll leave this group alone.

We then have FC Zürich versus AC Milan. AC Milan really should have the beating of Zürich and this would see them nicely through to the knockout stages, whatever happens in the match between Marseille and Real Madrid. However, AC Milan have been unreliable this season and we cannot support them. In the Marseille/Real Madrid match a win would see Marseille nicely through to the knockout stages and could leave Real Madrid with a problem. Given home advantage we can see Marseille at least holding out for a point but not overconfident in the outcome so will also be leaving this group alone.

Chelsea will be at very short odds for a home win against Apoel Nicosia. Although we expect them to win we cannot take them on at the expected odds. Particularly where the match means nothing to Chelsea but Apoel Nicosia need all three points to have any chance of qualifying for the Europa Cup there is a distinct possibility of a shock result. In the second match in this group FC Porto are also already through to the knockout stages. They play Atletico Madrid who with a win would be certain to take their place in the last 32 of the Europa cup. FC Porto cannot overtake Chelsea to top spot and therefore the match means almost nothing to them whereas Atletico both have something to prove and the certainty of a place in the Europa cup at stake. We’ll certainly be leaving this group alone.

That leaves us with group A where Bordeaux play away Maccabi Haifa. In the normal run of things we would expect Bordeaux to win comfortably. However, they are already qualified and guaranteed top spot. Although the Maccabi Haifa so far have no points this could be their big opportunity! The remaining match in this group really is the one with all to play for where Juventus are at home to Bayern Munich. With Juventus on 8 points Bayern on 7 where a draw will be sufficient for Juventus, Bayern really have to go all out for the win. With Juventus possibly at the end of a good run but with Bayern Munich apparently beginning to hit form this one really could go either way. We’ll therefore be leaving this one alone too.

No selections on Tuesday. Look out for our Wednesday review.

Best Bet Soccer Winning Trixie – 5 and 6 December 2009

Sunday, December 6th, 2009

bbslogo2cm

We have to crow a little about our soccer betting selections this week. After a few weeks with nil or only partial returns the Best Bet Soccer system picks produced three out of three.

We “kicked off” with Aston Villa who won comfortably, followed this up with Bordeaux and then Schalke did the business for us – although looking a little jittery at times.

Our £25 trixie (total stake £100.00) returns £253 for a profit of £153. Not huge but it’s a winner and not to be sneezed at!

When we were making our selections this week there were a high number of predictions. We’re regretting not putting up a second trixie – Portsmouth, Manchester United and Marseilles!

Although we’ve had a bad run we remain “in the black”. We’ve not had to add to our bank. We’ve not even had to introduce additional funds from the spare £200 held outside our betting bank. With this win we’re well set for the next few weeks and looking forward to profiting from betting on our selections!

We cannot see any value in the midweek European Champions League matches this week. There are a number of “dead” matches and there are others where, frankly, anything could happen with teams fighting for a place in the last 16 or in the Europa Cup. At this stage we think that these games are best left alone.

We’re looking forward to next weekend with keen anticipation.

FREE Best Bet Soccer Advice 14 November 2009

Saturday, November 14th, 2009

bbslogo2cm

Due to the restricted league fixtures this week we have a double rather than our usual trixie. We’re providing this FREE to our subscribers and those who have shown an interest in our service.

The selections are Portugal in their World Cup play off match and Southampton in the English League 1.

Several bookmakers are offering odds of 1-2 on Portugal and 8-13 on Southampton. At these odds a £100 double produces a potential return of £242.31 for a potential profit of £142.31.

Good luck.

Best Bet Soccer Review – 4 November 2009

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

bbslogo2cm Since we last published a post we’ve made Best Bet Soccer picks for two  trixie bets.

On the weekend of 31 October/1 November our soccer selections were Juventus, Lille and Valencia.  Lille and Valencia ran out winners. However, Juventus from 2 — 0 up finally succumbed to come-back specialists Napoli and went down 2 — 3. The return for the Lille/Valencia double was £90 so a small loss of £10 compared to our £100 total stake for our £25 win soccer betting trixie.

On 3 November the Best Bet Soccer selections were for a Champions League trixie which included Juventus again, Porto and Chelsea. This time Juventus did us proud taking a one goal lead and holding onto it to run out winners. We believe them to be a good team and until they show us differently will be including them in our Best Bet Soccer selections regularly when they play anything other than top opposition. Porto scored reasonably late on also to win their match. Chelsea came from 1 — 0  down to take a 2 – 1 lead with only a few minutes of normal time to play and then allowed Atletico Madrid to equalise for what was, for them, a well earned draw. The winning double of Juventus/Port0 paid £71.97 resulting in a net loss of £28.03 from our £25 (£100 total stake) trixie.

We’ve reviewed the Champions League fixtures for this evening, 4th November, but consider that the selections we would make provide no value and will therefore be making no bet. We have had a preliminary look at the Europa League fixtures for 5 November and will consider these further for a possible bet tomorrow.

Hoping for good luck in the future.

Review Of The Best Bet Soccer Weekend Bets — 25 October 2009

Monday, October 26th, 2009

bbslogo2cm

Our three selections this week, backed in a trixie, started off well when Juventus beat Siena. We were off to a flyer!

The second leg didn’t go so well when Deportivo La Coruna made three disastrous defensive errors and went down 4 — 0 against Valladolid. This brought Deportivo’s good run to an end but we expect them to bounce back and we’ll be keeping an eye on them for a further opportunity to include them in our bet in the forthcoming weeks.

Or final selection, Marseilles to beat Paris St Germain, was postponed. With a trixie bet this postponement means that there is a losing double and the treble is settle on the double result. The bets for the two “impossible” doubles are refunded. Bookmakers may make a small deduction from the refund amount. Corals returned us £40.40.

All in all the weekend was not as good as we’d hoped for but not a total loss!

We’ll be e-mailing our subscribers our selections on Saturday, 30th October so keep an eye on your inbox!

Best Bet Soccer Champions League Review – 20 and 21 October 2009

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

bbslogo2cm

In this week’s champions league matches we really thought we had three as near certainties as it is possible to select.

Tuesday’s matches we considered to be tricky to say the least. This was borne out by the results. On Tuesday evening we were pleased that we have decided to concentrate only on the Wednesday games!

Our Wednesday selections were all at very short prices giving a total return on our trixie at odds of only a shade better than 5/4.

Our first selection was Chelsea. We expected them to blow away Atletico Madrid. After the first 15 minutes or so there was really only one team in it and Chelsea ran out convincing winners.

We also thought Real Madrid would have no difficulty overcoming AC Milan. They, AC Milan, seem to have become our bogey team. We selected them in our trixies several times in September and most times they let us down by failing to win. They’ve now put a spoke in another bet by overcoming the hot favourites.

Wolfsburg were at odds of 2/5 to overcome Besiktas. Although we felt the odds to be tight we considered them to be value on their home soil. Again it was not to be so our Champions League trixie did not even produce a double.

For such short odds we would expect three winners virtually every time. This round of Champions League matches has produced several results when the perceived underdogs have come away with at least a draw if not winning! We feel that is extremely unlikely that such a high number of  “shock” results will arise in subsequent rounds and will be keeping a close eye on them with a view to recouping the loss.

We have a high value trixie with all three matches taking place on Sunday, 25 October. Our £100 bet (£25 trixie) would produce a return of only a few pence short of £500 for three winners, potential profit very nearly £400.

Best Bet Soccer results — weekend 17th and 18th October 2009

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

bbslogo2cm

Our Best Bet Soccer selections for 17th and 18th of October were not too successful.

We picked a trixie on each Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday our selections were Bayern Munich (won), Bordeaux (lost) Udinese (lost) so unfortunately there was no return on our £25 trixie.

On Sunday we fared better with our three selections — Borussia Dortmund (won), Athletic Bilbao (lost) Toulouse (won) for a return of £106.07 for £100 stake giving a profit of £6.07.

We have studied the European matches for Tuesday, 20 October and concluded that there is no value in the odds on offer. It appears that there may be a betting opportunity for a trixie on Wednesday, 21 October. To find out check out Best Bet Soccer.

You can check out our weekend bets by visiting our website and checking our Best Bet Soccer screenshots.

We remain £720.09 in profit plus a further £100 we originally introduced into our betting account and we are holding the further £200 from our start up betting bank that we have not so far needed. All in all we continue to operate well in profit without having had to introduce additional funds since our original £100! You can check out our history of bets at Best Bet Soccer history.

Best Bet Soccer Results From 10 October 2009

Monday, October 12th, 2009

bbslogo2cm

Our bet this weekend got off to a bad start when Bulgaria were trounced by Cyprus. However, there were good wins from Austria and the Czech Republic to give us a return of £66.21 from our £100 stake for a loss of only £33.79.

We placed our bet with Stan James where our £100 trixie produced a potential return of £323.13, potential profit of £223.13. You can check out a screenshot of the bet.

We must admit, we are not keen on the final rounds of the qualifying competition although it appears to us that there may be one or two good opportunities in the midweek matches this time around. We will, however, be pleased to see the return of the major European league competitions.

For a change we were tempted by the Los Angeles Kings who were way to St Louis Blues in the National Hockey League. A small wager of $100 produced a profit of $40.

We also had a series of bets on the NFL where we were successful with the Kansas City Chiefs, Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos. In each case we bought sufficient points on the spread to pick up the win. Unfortunately the Tennessee Titans let us down. However, a $100 bet on each of the four produced a net profit of $170. We have $100 riding on the Miami Dolphins, kick off 1.30 AM UK time on 13 October.

Best Bet Soccer Review Of September 2009

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

bbslogo2cm

Welcome to this review or of the Best Bet Soccer September 2009 results.

We finished up the month with a net profit of £297.76. But for AC  Milan letting us down three times when, frankly, they were playing vastly inferior opposition, our profits would have been in excess of £1500! AC Milan was our most selected side in September. There’s obviously something wrong there somewhere and until their results show signs of improvement we will resist selecting them again.

Bayern Munich did us well, winning on two of the three occasions we picked them up. On the third occasion it would not have mattered had they won because Inter Milan and Marseille were also beaten in one of our rare total losses.

In all we made 33 different selections during the month. Of these there were 24 winners giving very nearly 75% overall success! This resulted in most of our bets providing at least a partial return, if not an actual profit.

We got off to a flier for October with Everton, Dynamo Zagreb and Sporting Lisbon all winning producing a profit of £493.62. With Everton having won, Dynamo Zagreb 3-0 up well into the second half but Sporting Lisbon only 1-0 up we decided to hedge against Sporting and risked £25 on the draw and £5 on them losing thereby reducing our net profit for the night to £463.62, with which we are extremely pleased.

Long may it continue!

Best Bet Soccer Trixie For 1 October 2009

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

bbslogo2cm

When we checked out the prices of the Europa League matches for tonight we simply could not resist an additional bet this week.

Although Everton have to travel to Belarus to play BATE Borisov they look absolutely nailed on to bring home the three points in group I. We consider this to be an important match for Everton as they have Benfica at home and away in the next two group fixtures. Six points in the bag before meeting with them would put them in a strong position, whatever the outcome of those Benfica matches.

In group A, Dynamo Zagreb also are very much on a “must win” mission away to FCU Poli of Romania. Having lost their opening group match to Anderlecht, Dynamo Zagreb really must win this one if they are not to lose touch with the table toppers in group A.

Our final selection is in group D where Sporting Lisbon are at home to Hertha Berlin. Hertha Berlin managed only to draw at home to Ventspils in the first group match and they lie at the foot of the Bundesliga table having won only one of their seven matches this season. Conversely, Sporting Lisbon had a good away win in their first group match and they are doing reasonably well in the Portuguese league. Their defence may be slightly leaky but we cannot see Hertha Berlin giving them too much trouble.

We placed our £25 trixie with Stan James where our total stake of £100 a would produce an estimated return of £593.62, £493.62 profit, if all three selections win.

Free Midweek Best Bet Soccer Selections – 30 September 2009

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

bbslogo2cm

Tonight our FREE selections are from the European Championship fixtures where a number of the matches seem to be overwhelmingly one-sided.

We have four Best Bet Soccer picks which we have backed  as a single accumulator. Because of the outstanding chances of selections they are very short priced and betting on the trebles simply would not produce worthwhile returns.

Our four selections are AC Milan, Chelsea, Bordeaux and Real Madrid. Our accumulator, placed with Blue Square, if successful, should produce a return of £257, £157 profit, for a £100 stake.

Good luck.

Best Bet Soccer Selections For 26 September 2009

Friday, September 25th, 2009

Three of four of our midweek selections won to give us a profit of a little over GBP 100 from our 4 GBP 10 trebles and 1 GBP 10 accumulator.

For this weekend all of our selections are on Saturday: Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Marseilles. Our bet with William Hill (click link in sidebar to bet) should return over GBP 400 and a profit of over GBP 300 for all wins!

Longer odds this week so here´s hoping!

Best Bet Soccer – An Opinion

Sunday, September 20th, 2009

bbslogo2cm

We are not going to crow in this post about the results this weekend. However, we have to mention that our trixie was fully successful returning over £150 profit. At the time of posting we are also on a roll with our second bet for the weekend — a perm of four trebles from four selections with a four up accumulator. AC Milan, Sampdoria and Toulouse have already won this afternoon. We are waiting on Valencia this evening for our “full house”. Whatever happens we will not be hedging on or against Valencia. We stand to lose a maximum of only £19 on that bet and will sit tight for the bigger potential profit of £289.99.

Why we are publishing this post is because of the situation we’ve witnessed in the Chelsea versus Tottenham game this afternoon. There’s no doubt that when Keane was brought down in the penalty area it was either a penalty or a dive. If the referee did not give a penalty (as was the case) surely he had to go with his convictions and book Keane for the dive! Was he afraid that by booking Keane this could have led to a later enquiry that would have shown up his shortcomings? It is obvious that the penalty should have been given. Without a doubt the referee’s error had a significant effect on the outcome of the game. It’s all very well to say that Chelsea went on to score two more goals and won comfortably. Had the penalty been given and Tottenham had scored for 1-1 the opportunities that Chelsea had simply would not have come about. The game would have restarted from the kick-off and been totally different.

Surely the time has come, in this modern day and age where the technology is available and with so much riding on the game (it could mean the differencebetween winning the league or not for either side at the end of the season) we have to make full use of it, use as many referees or “officials” as necessary and possibly use replays during the course of the game to ensure that the outcome is not affected by an erroneous decisions!

Part of the reason for not using video evidence is that it would delay the game. However, although not in this case, there are often such arguments on pitch about the outcome of a decision that more time could be saved by using video evidence than lost! We believe it really is time to reconsider the situation.

Best Bet Soccer Second Bet – 19 September 2009

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

bbslogo2cm

We’ve come up with a second bet this weekend.

Our problem was that we narrowed it down to four matches and couldn’t decide which selection to omit. We therefore decided to change our bet and instead of a trixie we’re going for a four timer accumulator and the full perm  of four trebles.
The matches we’ve come up with are AC Milan to beat Bologna, Valencia to beat Sporting Gijon, Sampdoria to beat Siena and  Toulouse to beat Le Mans. We’ve back them in four (that is a full perm of) trebels and a four-time accumulator at £20 each being a total stake for the five bets of £100. We’ve placed our bet with William Hill and the potential return is a total of £389.93 for our £100 stake.

This is a follow-up to or original bet where Aston Villa and Newcastle United have already won. The final outcome of that bet is resting on Inter Milan tomorrow afternoon.

Check out the odds with William Hill.

With the fourth selection we need even more good luck with this bet!

Best Bet Soccer Selections for 19 and September 2009

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

bbslogo2cm

Well, following last week’s successes we have what we consider to be three absolute standout selections this week for our Best Bet Soccer trixie.

We start in the UK where Aston Villa are at home to Portsmouth. The odds of  2/5 on the face of it do not appear to be over generous. However, Aston Villa have recovered well from a poor start to the season and Portsmouth really are in the doldrums.

Our second selection is also in the UK, this time in the Championship. We have no hesitation in going for Newcastle United to beat Plymouth Argyle. To us Newcastle look certain to make an immediate return to the Premiership whereas the way Plymouth Argyle are playing at present they appear to be destined for League One. Again the odds of 2/5 do not appear to be over generous but given the outstanding chance of Newcastle we feel that we must put them in our bet this week.

Finally we make our third selection in Italy, tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon where Inter Milan are a way to Cagliari. The odds of 7/10 offered on Inter seem to us to be extremely generous and could well be worth backing as a single.

We placed our bed with Totesport where the potential return of £251.34 for our £25 trixie (potential profit £151.30) is marginally better than those we could find on offer elsewhere.

Bet now with totesport

Regards and good luck.

Best Bet Soccer Results – 12 to 16 September 2009

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

bbslogo2cm

What a good few days for Best Bet Soccer.

OK, one of our two weekend trixies was a total loss but the other produced a return of £342.61 for a profit of £242.61 and our midweek Champions League trixie also produced three winners for a return of £261.94 and profit of £161.94. We staked £20 on hedge bets on the midweek one but the result is still a Best Bet Soccer net profit  of £284.55 over the three bets.

Remember that we set up on 16 March with a betting bank of £300, introducing £100 for our initial bet and holding the remaining £200 available if required. To date we have not had to introduce further funding, the initial £100 and subsequent winnings fully covering all bets. We still have the £200 “in our pocket”. Yes, we’ve had to introduce funds to different bookmaker accounts and withdraw from others to obtain the best odds available and due to the time the withdrawals take we’ve had to sub the deposits for a day or two but the net effect is that we are running on only the initial £100 we introduced!

If we can continue our current run for a week or two we’ll be at the point where we will be increasing our stakes and then things should really get interesting. Why not subscribe to the Beat Bet Soccer FREE email course to receive details of our staking policy?

Regards and good luck.

Best Bet Soccer Champions League Bet – 15 September 2009

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

bbslogo2cm

We’ve come up with a Best Bet Soccer midweek trixie this week for the first round of Champions League matches — Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Arsenal.

We placed our bet with Boyle Sports where a £25 trixie (£100 total stake) produces potential returns of £261.94 for a £161.94 for profit is all results go all way.

We believe this to be absolutely top-class value for these first-round matches. Manchester United should have absolutely no problem overcoming Besiktas, Bayern Munich have hit a high note and should dispatch Maccabi Haifa without any problem and Arsenal should totally outclasse Standard Liege tomorrow evening.

Boyle Sports- clickhere

Fingers crossed and a hopeful of all the luck that’s going.
